Why Watch This
“Baby Assassins Nice Days” pairs razor‑sharp satire with a kinetic crime‑thriller edge, delivering a surprisingly tender look at youthful rebellion in a neon‑lit underworld. Director Yugo Sakamoto’s visual flair makes every chase sequence feel like a stylized comic‑book panel.
Best For
Dark comedy fans, Crime thriller enthusiasts, Indie film lovers, Japanese cinema fans, Cult movie seekers
The CinePearl Take
Sakamoto’s direction is relentless yet oddly lyrical, letting the city’s neon glow become a character in its own right. The breakout performance by the 12‑year‑old lead—who balances unsettling menace with childlike curiosity—anchors the film’s chaotic energy. While the pacing occasionally spikes, the thematic undercurrent about lost innocence keeps the narrative surprisingly cohesive.
