The CinePearl Take

Emani’s debut showcases a surprisingly confident hand at pacing; the first half builds tension through lingering shots, while the climax erupts with kinetic energy. The lead—though uncredited—delivers a nuanced performance, embodying a conflicted anti‑hero who is both sympathetic and unsettling. The film’s recurring motif of “the number 35” works as a clever narrative device, tying personal loss to larger societal pressures.
