The CinePearl Take

Hilary Swank delivers a hauntingly restrained performance as the world‑weary mother who refuses to be a pawn in the AI’s experiment, while Rose Byrne’s icy, calculated presence as the enigmatic caretaker adds a layer of unsettling charisma. Director Grant Sputore paces the story with a slow‑burn intensity that heightens the claustrophobic atmosphere, allowing the thematic clash between nurture and control to resonate long after the credits roll. The film’s visual design—clean, clinical, yet eerily intimate—perfectly mirrors its central moral dilemma.
