The CinePearl Take
The film’s standout is its lead detective, whose dead‑pan delivery anchors the chaos while the kinetic editing keeps the pulse racing. Director Lee Joon‑ho masterfully balances pulse‑pounding set pieces with moments of moral ambiguity, probing the cost of a city that never sleeps. Though the plot can feel labyrinthine, the visual style—neon‑washed alleyways and drone‑filled skies—makes every frame a study in modern noir.
