The CinePearl Take

“Aashayein” shines most when John Abraham lets his character’s vulnerability speak louder than dialogue, turning a familiar premise into something genuinely affecting. Girish Karnad’s cameo adds gravitas, anchoring the film’s emotional stakes. The pacing is deliberate, allowing each wish to breathe, while the recurring motif of sunrise underscores the film’s central message: life’s value is measured in moments, not years.
