The CinePearl Take
Stefan Haupt’s direction balances observational realism with tender storytelling, letting the audience feel the characters’ quiet desperation. Antoine Monot Jr. delivers a nuanced performance, his subtle gestures speaking louder than dialogue, while Anatole Taubman provides a grounded counterpoint. The film’s deliberate pacing may test patience, but it rewards viewers with a thoughtful meditation on identity and acceptance.
