The CinePearl Take

Ranveer Singh delivers a ferocious, almost primal performance that anchors the film’s chaotic energy, while Deepika Padukone balances fire with vulnerability, making their love feel inevitable. Bhansali’s direction is a feast of saturated colours, intricate set pieces and choreographed carnage that never lets the narrative breath, for better or worse. The film’s pacing swings between languid, lyrical song sequences and sudden bursts of violence, underscoring the theme that love and hatred are two sides of the same coin.
