The CinePearl Take

Willem Dafoe delivers a quietly devastating performance as the weary motel manager, anchoring the chaos with a blend of compassion and resignation. Brooklynn Prince shines as six‑year‑old Moonee, whose boundless energy and mischief feel astonishingly authentic. Baker’s deliberate pacing lets the audience linger in each sun‑splashed frame, underscoring the stark contrast between the characters’ dreams and their harsh reality.
