Why Watch This
Chronicles from the Siege offers an unflinching, character‑driven look at a city under fire, weaving together the lives of a teenage journalist, a weary medic, and a former rebel commander. Its raw, handheld cinematography captures the claustrophobia and humanity of a community trying to survive.

The CinePearl Take
Director Abdallah Al‑Khatib balances sweeping siege sequences with quiet, personal moments, letting the audience feel the weight of each decision. The standout performance comes from the unnamed teenage journalist, whose frantic yet steady narration anchors the fragmented narrative. While the pacing sometimes drags in the middle, the film’s thematic focus on resilience and moral ambiguity shines through, making it a compelling, if challenging, watch.
