The CinePearl Take

Neeraj Pandey’s direction is crisp, letting each con unfold with surgical precision while never sacrificing the film’s playful tone. Akshay Kumar steals the show as the charismatic mastermind, but Jimmy Shergill’s understated turn as the earnest police inspector adds a compelling moral counterpoint. The pacing is relentless yet measured, giving the audience time to savor the clever twists and the underlying commentary on corruption in post‑independence India.
