Why Watch This

Best For

political satire fans, dark comedy lovers, British humor enthusiasts, Armando Iannucci admirers, office politics junkies

The CinePearl Take

Armando Iannucci’s direction keeps the film’s pacing breathless, never letting a joke—or a crisis—settle. Tom Hollander shines as the hapless junior minister whose well‑meaning blunder spirals into an international incident, while James Gandolfini adds a gravitas‑tinged punch to the US side of the story. The film’s central theme—how language is weaponised in the halls of power—remains unsettlingly relevant.
