The CinePearl Take

Fernández’s patient pacing allows the viewer to soak in the intricate stucco work and water features without feeling rushed, while her choice of on‑location experts adds scholarly weight without sacrificing accessibility. The film’s strongest moments come when it juxtaposes the builders’ original sketches with modern 3‑D reconstructions, highlighting a timeless dialogue between past and present. Though there’s no traditional cast, the collective voice of historians, artisans, and locals forms a compelling narrative chorus.
