The CinePearl Take
Director Kazuaki Seki delivers a surprisingly tight script, balancing slapstick set‑ups with genuine reverence for Beethoven’s legacy. The standout performance comes from the lead—an unknown actor who nails the manic charisma of a would‑be maestro while keeping the audience sympathetic. Pacing is brisk, with each musical caper escalating in both stakes and silliness, and the film’s underlying theme—how art can be both a weapon and a salvation—adds unexpected depth.
