The CinePearl Take
Alison Brie delivers a surprisingly gritty turn, grounding the escalating paranoia with a palpable sense of dread. Franco’s direction favors lingering shots over cheap jump‑scares, letting the house itself become a character. The pacing is deliberately measured, allowing the audience to feel the creeping invasion of privacy before the story erupts into its violent climax. It’s a modestly budgeted piece that proves a strong concept can outweigh glossy effects.
