The CinePearl Take
Gilberto Mazzi shines as the disoriented protagonist, his restrained gestures conveying a world-weariness that words never could. The film’s deliberate, almost meditative pacing allows the city’s clamor to echo the inner turmoil of its characters, while Marie Glory’s brief but luminous appearance adds a fleeting note of hope. Rosa’s thematic focus on collective identity versus personal isolation feels remarkably resonant today.
