The CinePearl Take
Frankel’s direction keeps the film brisk, delivering punchy dialogue without sacrificing the glossy aesthetic that made the original iconic. The breakout performance by the new assistant—sharp, vulnerable, and impeccably timed—anchors the story’s modern commentary on digital fame. While the pacing occasionally slides into predictable sequel tropes, the film’s exploration of authenticity versus brand‑building feels surprisingly fresh. Overall, it’s a stylish, self‑aware continuation that honors its predecessor while carving its own runway.
