The CinePearl Take

Director Sean Menard captures Terry’s grueling pace with a patient, almost meditative rhythm that lets viewers feel each mile’s weight. The documentary shines in its candid interviews with Indigenous elders who share how the changing terrain impacts their territories, adding a poignant social layer. While the narrative occasionally stalls during long stretches of solitary running, the raw emotional payoff when Terry reaches the Arctic Circle is worth the wait. Overall, it’s a compelling study of endurance, identity, and environmental stewardship.
