The CinePearl Take
Director João Silva delivers a breezy, almost lyrical pacing that keeps the paradoxes from feeling heavy while still rewarding attentive viewers. The lead—though uncredited—anchors the chaos with a surprisingly nuanced performance, conveying both awe and melancholy as history folds around them. The film’s central theme of memory versus progress feels especially resonant in today’s fast‑moving world, and the occasional misstep in narrative clarity is outweighed by its charm.
