Why Watch This

Hush delivers a pulse‑pounding cat‑and‑mouse game that turns the classic home‑invasion premise on its deafening head. The film’s relentless silence forces you to listen to every creak, making each jump scare feel inevitable and intimate.

Best For

Horror fans, Thriller addicts, Fans of home‑invasion suspense, Kate Siegel admirers, Sound design geeks, Late‑night viewers

The CinePearl Take

Kate Siegel, who also co‑wrote the script, gives a razor‑sharp performance as Maddie, a deaf author whose vulnerability becomes a weapon. Flanagan’s minimalist direction lets the house itself become a character, and the sound‑design—what’s heard versus what’s not—keeps tension taut. The film’s tight 85‑minute runtime never lets the dread breathe, making every corridor a gauntlet. Hush proves that silence can be louder than any scream.
