The CinePearl Take

Director William Bindley leans into a loose, sun‑splashed structure that keeps the mood light, though the story occasionally wavers between earnestness and slapstick. Greer Grammer shines as the witty, self‑aware best friend, delivering some of the film’s sharpest one‑liners. KJ Apa’s laid‑back charm provides a solid counterpoint, while the rest of the cast adds enough chemistry to make the group’s antics feel genuine. The central theme—navigating the unknown after high school—rings true, even if the script never fully capitalizes on its emotional potential.
