The CinePearl Take
Jugnot’s seasoned direction shines in the rapid‑fire pacing, letting each gag land without feeling rushed. The ensemble, though uncredited, clicks effortlessly, especially the veteran actor playing the perpetually unlucky card‑dealer whose deadpan delivery steals scenes. Beneath the pratfalls, the film subtly explores themes of redemption and the absurdity of luck, making it more than just a series of jokes.
