The CinePearl Take
Lipper’s direction is a masterclass in restraint, letting the silence between scenes speak louder than dialogue. The standout performance comes from the film’s lead, an unknown actress who conveys despair and determination with a single glance. While the pacing drags in the middle, the final act’s crescendo of tension makes the journey worthwhile, underscoring the theme that forgotten communities can still demand attention.
