Why Watch This
“Candy and the Pizza Ggirl” mixes off‑beat romance with the bustling world of Mumbai’s street‑food scene, delivering a fresh, flavor‑filled comedy that feels both nostalgic and modern. The film’s quirky premise—an aspiring baker falling for a charismatic pizza‑truck queen—offers plenty of laugh‑out‑loud moments and heartfelt beats.
Best For
Indie lovers, Foodies, Rom‑com fans, Urban youth, Hindi cinema enthusiasts
The CinePearl Take
Akhil Kapur’s direction shines in the vivid market sequences, but the narrative wavers when it tries to juggle too many subplots. Priya Banerjee delivers a breakout performance, balancing swagger and vulnerability as the “Pizza Ggirl.” Shivani Singh’s comic timing adds a needed lift, while the film’s central theme of chasing one’s flavor‑filled dreams feels earnest despite occasional pacing hiccups.
