The CinePearl Take
Simon West’s direction keeps the tempo blistering, never allowing a beat to drop as the airborne prison turns into a flying death‑match. Cage revels in his over‑the‑top villainy, while Nick Chinlund and M.C. Gainey add gritty texture to the ensemble of criminals. The film’s practical stunts and roaring soundtrack make it a nostalgic showcase of ’90s blockbuster bravado, even if its plot twists feel formulaic.
