The CinePearl Take

Ruben Östlund’s direction keeps the film’s pacing deliberately measured, allowing each cringe‑inducing set‑piece to breathe before the next punchline lands. Daniel Hallberg, though in a supporting role, shines with a dead‑pan delivery that anchors the chaos around him. The film’s central theme—how far we’ll go to uphold “the square” of moral correctness—remains resonant long after the credits roll.
