The CinePearl Take
Bélanger’s direction balances the absurd with the tender, letting the ensemble’s chemistry drive the story. The standout is newcomer Marie‑Claude Tremblay, whose dead‑pan delivery as the perpetually frazzled landlord anchors the chaos. While the pacing occasionally lingers on the neighborhood’s quirks, the film’s thematic focus on community resilience keeps it engaging.
