The CinePearl Take
Robin Wright delivers a quietly powerful performance, grounding the film’s most outlandish sequences with palpable humanity. The pacing drifts deliberately, mirroring the protagonist’s descent into a digital dreamscape, which may test viewers accustomed to tighter storytelling. Visually, the transition from gritty reality to painterly animation feels both disorienting and mesmerizing, reinforcing the film’s meditation on the erosion of the self in a commodified world.
