The CinePearl Take

Kam Woo‑sung’s magnetic turn as the charismatic clown anchors the film’s emotional core, while Yoo Hai‑jin provides a perfect foil with his restrained, conflicted courtier. The pacing swells and recedes like a performance, allowing moments of levity to deepen the looming tragedy. Beneath the spectacle, the film asks unsettling questions about identity, loyalty, and the price of art in a repressive regime.
