Why Watch This

The CinePearl Take

Director Brandon Slagle keeps the tension taut by confining most of the action to a claustrophobic forest setting, letting the dread build through sound design rather than cheap jump scares. Lead actress Maya Torres (as the resourceful survivor) anchors the chaos with a gritty, believable performance that elevates the script’s thin premise. While the pacing occasionally stalls during exposition, the final act’s brutal climax restores momentum and leaves a lingering sense of unease.
