The CinePearl Take

Director Badiul Alam Khokon delivers a briskly paced thriller that never lets the momentum slip, even as the romance subplot deepens. Mahiya Mahi shines, balancing fierce combat choreography with nuanced vulnerability, especially in the rooftop showdown that doubles as a confession scene. The film’s underlying theme—duty versus desire—feels surprisingly fresh, though a few subplots get lost in the rapid editing. Overall, “Officer” is a commendable effort that elevates the genre with its emotional stakes.
