The CinePearl Take

Patnaik’s debut in the thriller arena is surprisingly disciplined; the film’s pacing accelerates just as the café’s ordinary chatter morphs into a cat‑and‑mouse game. The lead’s deadpan delivery—especially in the climactic “espresso‑standoff” scene—anchors the absurdity with a surprisingly grounded charisma. While the script occasionally leans into genre clichés, the underlying theme of ordinary people confronting hidden danger feels fresh in the regional context.
