The CinePearl Take

Tabu delivers a career‑highlight performance, effortlessly shifting from sardonic therapist to spine‑tingling specter. The film’s pacing wavers—some set‑pieces drag, but the rapid‑fire jokes and well‑timed scares revive the energy. Anees Bazmee’s screenplay leans heavily on slapstick, yet it never loses sight of the underlying theme: confronting past traumas with humor. The soundtrack, especially the re‑imagined “Mere Dholna,” adds a nostalgic punch that fans of the original will appreciate.
