The CinemaWorld Take
Bodil Joensen's performance in Animal Farm is noteworthy for its boldness and commitment to the film's provocative theme. The pacing of the film can be erratic, reflecting its experimental nature and the challenge of balancing explicit content with a meaningful narrative. Despite its unevenness, the film remains a fascinating, albeit controversial, exploration of power dynamics and social hierarchy. The themes of corruption and the abuse of power are starkly presented, often through explicit and disturbing sequences.
