Why Watch This

We Believe You offers an unflinching look at the fragility of trust in a small Belgian town, blending intimate character work with a tense courtroom drama. Its raw, naturalistic style pulls you into the moral ambiguity of believing versus proving.

Best For

Drama lovers, Social justice fans, European cinema enthusiasts, Slow‑burn story seekers, Fans of character-driven narratives

The CinePearl Take

Director Luc De Smet crafts a claustrophobic atmosphere that mirrors the protagonist’s mounting anxiety. Lead performance by newcomer Elise Van den Berg is hauntingly sincere, turning a simple testimony into a study of inner resilience. The film’s deliberate pacing may test patience, but it rewards viewers with a powerful meditation on truth and community complicity.
