The CinePearl Take
Lelio’s direction shines brightest in the climactic beach sequence, where a chorus of locals erupts in a soaring anthem that feels both intimate and universal. The breakout performance by newcomer Sofía Valdez, whose raw, breath‑breaking vocals anchor the film’s emotional core, is unforgettable. While the pacing occasionally wavers between lyrical interludes and narrative beats, the thematic focus on community resilience keeps the story afloat.
