The CinePearl Take
Gensch’s steady pacing lets the stories breathe, allowing each filmmaker’s voice to resonate without feeling forced. The most striking segment follows a teenage projectionist in Kyiv, whose quiet determination becomes the film’s emotional core. While the narrative occasionally meanders through dense historical context, the vivid cinematography and earnest testimonies keep the audience anchored in the human side of the movement.
