The CinePearl Take
Lead actress Maya Rivera (a breakout newcomer) anchors the film with a performance that feels both vulnerable and fierce, capturing the quiet desperation of a gymnast forced to redefine herself. Hart’s measured pacing lets the tension build organically, never resorting to cheap melodrama. The recurring motif of “good luck” as a hollow reassurance underscores the film’s critique of performance culture, turning a simple phrase into a haunting refrain.
