The CinePearl Take
Choi Kook‑hee keeps the narrative tight, letting the tension build through crisp editing rather than melodrama. Kim Hye‑soo’s steely poise anchors the chaos, making the financial fallout feel intimately human. Yoo Ah‑in’s restless charisma adds a volatile counterpoint, highlighting how ordinary ambition collides with systemic collapse. The film’s thematic focus on moral compromise feels surprisingly resonant today.
