Why Watch This
Handsome Guys twists the glossy world of K‑pop idol culture into a nightmarish arena where beauty becomes a weapon. Its claustrophobic set‑pieces and eerie sound design keep the tension simmering long after the credits roll.
Best For
Horror fans, Korean cinema enthusiasts, Folk‑horror lovers, Night owls, Thriller addicts
The CinePearl Take
Director Nam Dong‑hyup proves his knack for atmospheric dread, layering sleek neon aesthetics with ancient shamanic motifs. The lead—an uncredited newcomer—delivers a chilling performance, embodying the fragile allure of fame. Pacing is deliberately uneven, mirroring the characters’ descent into paranoia, while the film’s core theme—obsession with outward perfection—hits a resonant, unsettling chord.
