Why Watch This
Tekken drops you into a neon‑lit dystopia where a brutal underground tournament decides the fate of a corrupt megacity. The film delivers high‑octane martial‑arts set‑pieces that echo the game’s signature combos, wrapped in a cyber‑punk visual style that’s both gritty and glossy.
Best For
Action fans, Martial arts enthusiasts, Sci‑fi lovers, Cyberpunk aficionados, Gaming adaptation watchers
The CinePearl Take
Randal Reeder carries the film with a bruised‑but‑determined performance, grounding the outlandish premise in a relatable underdog arc. The choreography shines—each fight feels visceral and inventive—though the narrative stalls in the middle, making the pacing feel uneven. Blake Shields injects a sardonic flair as the charismatic antagonist, but the script never fully explores the world‑building potential hinted at in the opening. In the end, Tekken is a noisy, uneven ride that rewards viewers who prioritize spectacle over story.
