Why Watch This

Kim Sang‑hoon’s 2025 vision of a hyper‑connected Seoul turns a simple revenge premise into a razor‑sharp critique of digital surveillance. The film’s relentless pacing and stark neon‑lit cinematography keep you on edge while delivering a surprisingly human core.

Best For

Thriller fans, Korean cinema lovers, Dark comedy enthusiasts, Fans of social satire, Late‑night binge watchers

The CinePearl Take

Kim’s direction is unapologetically bold, using claustrophobic close‑ups to mirror the protagonist’s spiralling paranoia. The unnamed lead—played with cold intensity by a relative newcomer—anchors the chaos, delivering a performance that feels both detached and deeply wounded. While the narrative occasionally veers into genre‑tropes, the film’s thematic focus on identity in a data‑driven world keeps it compelling.
