The CinePearl Take
Mads Mikkelsen delivers a quietly magnetic turn as the idealistic physician Struensee, balancing intellect with palpable vulnerability. Alicia Vikander’s regal yet fragile Caroline Mathilde anchors the emotional core, while the film’s measured pacing allows the courtroom‑style debates to breathe. At its heart, the movie is a meditation on how personal love can ignite societal reform, and it never loses its visual grandeur.
