The CinePearl Take
Lee Sang‑min’s direction is a masterclass in slow‑burn terror, letting dread seep in with each lingering shot of the mist‑cloaked shore. Though the cast remains anonymous, newcomer Park Ji‑woo delivers a mesmerizingly terrified performance that anchors the film’s emotional core. The pacing is deliberately measured, allowing the unsettling sound design—water‑dripping whispers and distant splashes—to gnaw at the audience’s nerves. Themes of guilt and nature’s vengeance are woven into every frame, rewarding viewers who appreciate layered horror.
