The CinePearl Take
Ferreira’s direction balances raw verité with lyrical moments, letting the audience linger on the protagonists’ quiet resilience. The standout performance comes from newcomer Ana Silva, whose unflinching honesty anchors the film’s emotional core. While the pacing drifts at times, the thematic payoff—examining identity, community, and systemic neglect—remains compelling.
