The CinePearl Take
While the cast remains a mystery, Amenábar’s direction shines, especially in the film’s deliberate pacing that lets emotional beats breathe. The visual palette—cool blues juxtaposed with stark reds—mirrors the protagonist’s internal conflict. Themes of confinement and self‑discovery are handled with a subtlety that rewards repeat viewings, even if the story occasionally drifts into abstraction.
