The film weaves breathtaking close‑ups of her luminous paintings with archival letters, revealing how her spiritual séances fueled a radical visual language that remained hidden for a century.

The CinePearl Take

Halina Dyrschka guides the narrative with a patient, almost meditative pace that mirrors af Klint’s own rituals, allowing each brushstroke to breathe on screen. The documentary’s strength lies in its visual storytelling—archival footage is sparingly used, letting the paintings themselves become the protagonists. A subtle, lyrical narration ties together the scientific, the mystical, and the feminist undercurrents without ever feeling didactic.
