Why Watch This
Marco Petry’s debut blends witty banter with earnest heartbreak, turning a seemingly simple love‑triangle into a fresh look at loyalty and self‑discovery. The film’s off‑beat humor and unexpected visual flourishes keep the story lively even when the stakes feel familiar.
Best For
Rom‑com lovers, Indie enthusiasts, Millennial audiences, Friends‑first narratives, Quirky dialogue fans
The CinePearl Take
Petry’s direction shines in the way he lets the trio’s chemistry drive the narrative, especially in the scene where a midnight karaoke session becomes a confession of hidden desires. The pacing is deliberately breezy, mirroring the characters’ youthful uncertainty, while the underlying theme of redefining friendship in adulthood adds emotional weight. Though the cast is unknown, the lead’s naturalistic performance anchors the film’s tonal swings, making the occasional tonal misstep feel forgivable.
