The CinePearl Take
Beiruty’s patient pacing lets the community’s stories breathe, allowing moments of quiet reflection to sit alongside the tension of legal battles. The standout performance comes from longtime resident Maria Alvarez, whose raw testimony about her family’s health grounds the film’s broader themes. Visually, the juxtaposition of polluted waterways with the town’s lingering beauty underscores the film’s central message: resilience in the face of systemic neglect.
