The CinePearl Take

Harsh Pandey’s natural performance as Chhotu (the “Kalam” of the title) carries the film with earnest charm, while the supporting cast adds texture without stealing the spotlight. Director Nila Madhab Panda balances a breezy pace with moments of quiet reflection, allowing the social commentary to breathe. The central theme—dreams as a vehicle for social mobility—resonates without ever feeling preachy, making the film both entertaining and thought‑provoking.
