The CinePearl Take
Jeremy Irons delivers a nuanced performance as G.H. Hardy, embodying the clash between British academic rigor and Ramanujan’s mystic intuition. The pacing is deliberate, allowing the audience to breathe in the cultural dislocation and the quiet brilliance of the protagonist. Themes of colonial tension, faith in intuition versus formal proof, and the cost of genius are handled with subtlety, making the film more than a standard biopic.
